Why gamers use a dedicated IP
On a shared VPN address you can be affected by other people: IP bans, CAPTCHAs and slow matchmaking can happen because of what someone else did.
With a dedicated address only your own behaviour counts, and your real home IP address stays hidden from other players.
Benefits
- Keep your home IP address private, which makes it harder for other players to find or attack it
- A stable address that game services and communities can recognise
- Allow your own friends or community to connect to a private server only from your approved address
- An encrypted connection on public or shared networks
Speed
A VPN adds some distance to your connection. For gaming, choose the country closest to the game servers you use. We do not limit bandwidth.
Frequently asked questions
Does a VPN lower my ping?
Usually it adds a little. Choose a country close to your game server to keep it low.
Will it stop DDoS attacks?
It hides your home address, so attackers cannot target it directly. It is not a complete protection.
Can I use it on consoles?
If your router supports OpenVPN, the whole home network can use the connection.
